About Us
Gippsland Lakes Fishing Club is a local community club welcoming anyone who has an interest in social fishing
Our club has been around for close to 50 years.
It was funded by the original members along with the assistance of the East Gippsland Shire and after considerable time, effort and fund raising, built on its current site. The club rooms are located in (what we believe to be ) the best location of any in Australia with views across to Bullock Island and the North Arm. We manage the gantry for game fishing at the newly reconstructed larger boat jetty. Apart from the bread and butter species (whiting, flathead, gummy shark, bream, snapper) from "out the front" the lakes, rivers and the associated estuaries, the fishing deep offshore is fast becoming recognised as one of the premier locations for large game fish (swordfish, mako, marlin). We believe that here in Victoria's Riviera, we have some of the best fishing opportunities in the Southern States.
Why Join Us?
We have friendly competitions both within the club and inter-club, social and information evenings. We have several "trips away" to places such as Mallacoota, Bemm river, Port Albert. We are an affiliated club with the Game Fishing Association of Victoria
and the Victorian Game Fishing Club.

Active Community
We interact with local community/conservation groups such as The Nature Conservatory, East Gippsland Water Catchment Authority on the scallop regeneration reefs.
Community Events
Our annual Kids/All Abilities Day aims to encourage youngsters and those who would have difficulty getting out to fish.
